Biography

Dr. Alexander grew up here in Northern Virginia and am thrilled to be back at work in this thriving community. She is contributing to the continued progress of our NICU by leading the NICU transport and code/simulation committees.  Dr. Alexander also enjoys mentoring aspiring medical studies and neonatologists and participating in resident and nursing education.  Outside of work, aside from being with her active boys and husband, she is learning to garden and play tennis.

  • Bill & Melinda Gates Millennium Scholar: Awarded full scholarship to undergraduate school for academic excellence and community service
  • Marshall Klaus Research Award: Competitive grant awarded to neonatal fellows for their research project
