Biography
“I have the best job in the world,” shares Dr. Silk, chairman of pediatrics and neonatology at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital. Dr. Silk believes that focusing on the special needs of babies and families provides a unique opportunity to continually improve children’s health in our community. He explains it is immensely rewarding to be involved with the health of babies from birth, and then to see them and their families years later at the annual NICU Reunions and/or the March of Dimes Walks for Babies. In his little spare time, Dr. Silk enjoys traveling with his wife, bicycling, collecting first edition science fiction novels, going to basketball games and concerts and spending time with the amazing adults his children and their partners have become.
