PLAC: Allergy and Immunology

Appointments: (703) 289-1410

At the Pediatric Lung and Allergy Center (PLAC), our pediatric allergy and immunology specialist is committed to excellence in patient care, education, and advocacy. Being housed with a variety of pediatric subspecialists contributes significantly to our ability to provide comprehensive care.

We specialize in diagnosing and treating the full range of allergic and immune disorders of infancy and childhood. See list of some of the conditions we treat below.

Early recognition of your condition is of utmost importance as most allergies start during childhood. And an accurate diagnosis is the first step in managing childhood allergy problems.

Our pediatric specialist can provide a complete evaluation that includes:

  • allergen skin testing
  • blood testing
  • patch testing
  • immune function testing
  • lung function testing
  • oral food challenges

Following a comprehensive assessment, our allergist will establish an individualized treatment plan with your child’s pediatrician. Your child’s treatment may include medication, environmental modification, allergen immunotherapy (“allergy shots”), or other therapies.
