Coronavirus Notice

The Pediatric Lung and Allergy Center is closely monitoring the respiratory impact of the novel Coronavirus infection. We are networking with federal, state and local agencies to coordinate a response once we begin seeing infections in our area. So far, it is reassuring that the pediatric population has not been severely impacted, but we truly don’t know what the pattern will be in our community. We will likely be adapting what we do with sick visits given the limitations of infection control in an office setting. We want to assure that the office remains a relatively “safe space” so we can continue to deliver the preventive and maintenance care that is crucial to optimize lung health in the setting of respiratory infections. We will provide updates as the situation evolves, but at this point, good hand washing and cough hygiene are the best defenses available.

For more information on how the virus spreads, how it’s treated, how to protect yourself, and what to do if you get sick, please visit the CDC’s website.

The Pediatric Lung and Allergy Center (PLAC) is committed to providing comprehensive care for respiratory, allergic and immune disorders in children of all ages. The physicians and staff at the PLAC work together to provide the highest quality of care in a compassionate and respectful manner. We are dedicated to excellence in patient care and education.

Our practice partners with patients, families, primary care providers and other subspecialists to accurately diagnose and develop an individual treatment plan to meet the needs of every child.

The PLAC is a resource to the community and strives to be responsive to patients, families, and referring providers’ needs for pediatric health and wellness.
