Rachel and her husband live out in Virginia's beautiful Shenandoah Valley where they enjoy observing and supporting the wildlife, including deer, a family of foxes and a resident hawk on their property. Their two children (one of whom was an NICU preemie) are now full-grown and they just welcomed their first grandbaby. The Lockwoods founded T.H.O.R. Transport - a service that provides free dog transport to rescue dogs, so that these dogs can be placed in forever homes. As a small link in the chain that saves 1000s of adoptable dogs, they travel up and down the East Coast and as far west as the Mississippi River! Rachel is also passionate about working with today's youth. She has been the leader of the Clarke County Equine Enthusiasts 4-H Club for 20 years, using horses and horsemanship to teach children life skills.
