FNA, PC began in 1973 as Fairfax Neonatal Associates, a physician practice of neonatologists; physicians dedicated to the care of newborn babies. Initially based at Inova Fairfax Hospital (now known as Inova Fairfax Hospital for Children), we now provide neonatal care at Inova Fair Oaks, Inova Loudoun and Sentara Potomac Hospital.
As the pediatric population in Northern Virginia continues to grow, FNA continues to expand pediatric subspecialty care to babies and children of Northern Virginia. In 1999 we opened The Pediatric Lung Center (PLC) to provide comprehensive care for children with respiratory illnesses. The PLC has added subdivisions in Pediatric Allergy and Immunology and Pediatric Sleep Medicine.
In 2007 we began the Pediatric Surgery Group (PSG). In 2008 PSG added a pediatric surgeon with expertise in robotics and da Vinci instrumentation.
In 2008 FNA added the Pediatric Infectious Disease Group.
All of FNA's outpatient divisions have office locations in Fairfax and Leesburg, Virginia.
Responding to the complexity of our medical practice we created Management Consultants for Affiliated Physicians in 1993, a fully owned business subsidiary.
FNA established the Maggie Foundation for the Premature and Pediatric Subspecialty Patient, a non-profit entity. The Maggie Foundation provides funds to pilot research projects for our pediatric subspecialties and to cover the cost of COBRA payments for families with NICU patients in order to maintain their insurance coverage.
For over 35 years FNA has been recognized for our excellence. We are committed to continuing the best possible care for the regions critically ill and premature newborns and the over 550,000 children in Northern Virginia who deserve community access to pediatric subspecialty care.
